"LIFE'S BATTLES DON'T ALWAYS GO TO THE STRONGER OR FASTER MAN. BUT SOONER OR LATER, THE MAN WHO WINS IS THE MAN WHO THINKS HE CAN." ~ Vince Lombardi
She has inspired all of us. She has not one, not two, but T-H-R-E-E children with type 1 diabetes. Her stories are from the heart; they educate; they lift; they humor; they sedate in their transparent look into our diabetic lives. Our Dear, Sweet Meri needs a miracle for her husband, Ryan's health. She wrote about it here. A Miracle...
A miracle often denotes an event attributed to divine intervention. Alternatively, it may be an event attributed to a miracle worker, saint, or religious leader. A miracle is sometimes thought of as a perceptible interruption of the laws of nature. Others suggest that God may work with the laws of nature to perform what people perceive as miracles. Theologians say that, with divine providence, God regularly works through created nature yet is free to work without, above, or against it as well.
In "Reyn-ese" ....In casual usage, more in line with my kind of "belief system", a "miracle" is seen as any event that is statistically unlikely but beneficial, (such as surviving a natural disaster), or simply a "wonderful" occurrence, regardless of likelihood, such as a birth. Other miracles might be: survival of a terminal illness, escaping a life threatening situation or 'beating the odds'. Some coincidences may be perceived to be miracles.
PRAY.BEKON.BELIEVE.DO~WHATEVER~IT~IS~YOU~DO today, tomorrow, and for countless tomorrows here-after for Ryan's health.
A FaceBook page, Schuhmacher Family's Miracle, has been set up for friends and family to gather for updated information, prayer and support during this journey. We invite you to post prayers and reflections of hope on your personal blogs and websites. There will be a thread started there, where your links can be shared. If you do not have a blog/website, and would like to share your prayers, please feel free to add your thoughts and reflections to the thread as well. By keeping them in one place, the family will easily be able to access your words of encouragement in the days, weeks, and months to come. Please spread the word to anyone, and invite others to join this massive prayer effort as well.
We are also uniting to raise money to help with Ryan's battle against cancer. If you can help in any way, please visit the Give Forward site created for Meri and her family.
A day-in-the-life of spreading the word. We.Need.A.Miracle.
